Litter Vigilante Throws Trash Back At Drivers
Why people think it's okay to litter is a bit of a mystery, although studies have shown some potential reasons. Who in their right mind wants to see garbage lining the streets, cluttering our campgrounds, or polluting the farthest reaches of planet earth? It's beyond shameful that some of the first advice survivalist "Bear" Grylls gives in his show Man vs. Wild is to find our trash, which can be found almost everywhere in the wilderness, to repurpose as survival gear. If folks like to keep their household a mess, that's their prerogative, but don't force everyone else in shared public spaces or out in no man's land to wallow in your filth. This makes Mama Nature and her offspring very unhappy.
Thankfully "Litter Vigilantes" like the woman in this video exist, but her tactics aren't for the faint of heart. At some point, someone with road rage is bound to open up a can of whoop-ass on someone employing such methods. If you would like to confront a litterbug, this more passive-aggressive approach will work just fine; when you see someone throw rubbish on the ground, simply pick it up and hand it back to them while stating in a natural "good Samaritan" tone, "Excuse me, ma'am/sir, you dropped this." Hopefully their embarrassment will cause them to haul their trash the few extra steps to the nearest trash can. Also, if you're tired of people littering and dumping in your city or neighborhood, you can report them at Litter-Bug.org.
