It appears that this man on the M96 bus in Manhattan thought he was the only person on the bus even though it was on the verge of standing room only.
When he first sat down, his buttocks were on the edge of his seat and his manspread nearly blocked the entire aisle. Needless to say, it took 3 "excuse me's" from people struggling to get by before he snidely scooched back to the position in the pictures.
Most people consider this unacceptable behavior even if his excuse was that he was trying to make room—he is a big fellow—for the person in the seat behind him. But, he wasn't. What was he trying to make room for you ask? His bags and the backpack that common courtesy asks you not to wear on crowded buses and trains.
Here are a couple shots of the bags, now on his lap, that were occupying the seat behind him. Unfortunately, he continues to ensure that he is the only person to have access to the now empty seat and the portion of aisle claimed by his legs.
